The babies had their first TIPS (Tracking Infant Progress Statewide) appointment at Children's Hospital today. This is the first time they had been back since their discharge from the NICU in July. All three did very well. Each baby met with a developmental pediatrician, a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, and a even a psychologist (yup, that's right, a psychologist).
The entire process lasted over three hours! The trips loved it. Nora had a bit of "stranger danger" at first, but warmed up quickly as toys were brought out. She loves to play with rattles and enjoyed showing off her ability to pass a rattle from hand to hand.
Parks is our talker and the most social out of the three. He loved all the attention! He enjoyed showing off how well he can sit up, and how quickly he can roll over if placed on his back. He loves to be on his tummy. He will be crawling in no time!
Eva was sweet and smiley. She did not quite know what to make of all the attention. A couple times she found it so overwhelming she broke down in tears, but as soon as Dad swooped her up she was as happy as ever. She is quite the Daddy's girl.
It is so much fun to watch their little personalities develop. Eva adores her big brother Will, Nora loves Chloe the dog, and Parks loves everybody.
They are so beautiful, Laura and Steve! I really am hoping to meet them soon. I think MEI may be planning a family get-together this summer at Mahoney State Park. If so, that will be a great way for everyone to catch up and SEE all the kids!
