Update

I went to the doctor on Friday afternoon for my blood pressure and heart rate check-up. Both were normal! It must have just been a fluky thing on Tuesday. The results of my blood work were also normal, so all around I am in good shape.
We go back on Tuesday for our next check-up. The doctor will take measurements of each baby, and has promised new ultrasound pictures. I will post again after our next appointment. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Another Appointment

I am officially 17 weeks and approximately a little more than half way through my pregnancy. I am still feeling pretty well overall.

The doctor said that babies A and B are girls and C .........they think is a boy! All three were active and healthy, although they are starting to look pretty crowded. I still feel that A and B (the girls) are identical, but they will not be able to tell for sure until after they are born since we chose not to go through amniocentesis tests for each (too risky).

The babies looked great. I, on the other hand, had a very high heart rate, and my blood pressure was up, too. The doctor decided to get some blood work in order to check my blood count (to see if I am anemic) and my thyroid function. I have another appointment this Friday to check my blood pressure and heart rate again. If the blood tests come back okay, and my heart rate is still too high, Dr. Robertson will send me to the cardiologist on Friday for some more tests. In the mean time I will be relaxing with my feet up (except when I am at school or playing with Will) and trying to avoid Obama speeches, etc. in hopes that my heart rate will return to normal.

Growing

My last appointment went very well. So well that Dr. Robertson said I can skip my appointment for next week and come back in two weeks. All three babies looked very healthy and are getting bigger by the day.
I am feeling pretty good. I am must have entered what Dr. Robertson calls the "honeymoon stage." This is the stage after the nausea but before you get SO BIG that you are really uncomfortable.
Will is as cute as ever. This week he enjoyed going with his Grandpa Scott to pick up his Grammie from school and eat dinner at their house. He had a wonderful time, and he has been chattering about it ever since. On Wednesday he was very excited to go and get his haircut (mainly because he gets a lollipop afterward). His new 'do looks very handsome. We ended the week with the best part of all........we got to stay home together today for a snow day!
We did not get any triplet ultrasound pictures to take home from our last doctor's appointment so I decided to post some belly pictures. Will wanted to join in too. He was very excited to get a big kick from one of the babies. The babies love him already. (They must be very smart babies:)

Appointment

I had my 14 week appointment today. Everything looks good. I have gained another pound. From crown to rump each baby is about 3 inches long (about 4 inches from head to toe). No boy parts were seen on any of the babies on this ultrasound. (Baby A never really gave us a look). They suspect that they may all be girls, but said it is too soon to tell for sure.
I asked Will if he would be okay with three sisters. He said, "Okay. They can stay in my room." We assured him that we would put them in their own room. He looked disappointed, so we explained that we did not want the babies to wake him up at night. I do not think he has any idea what he is in for.
Will is still doing a great job with his potty training. He stays dry all day, during naps, and most nights. I hope our next three are half as good as he is!
I added ultrasounds of each baby and one of the three together.

First Post

Steve and I wanted to start a blog to keep everyone up-to-date with news on Will and the triplets.
At our last doctor's appointment the ultra-sound technician guessed that baby C is a girl (with about 85% certainty), but was not sure about the other two. The doctor and the technician think they may be able to determine the sex of the other two at our next appointment on Tuesday 2/3.
At my Tuesday 2/3 appointment I will be 14 weeks. I have gained a total of 12 pounds so far. (I should gain a little more than one pound a week, for a total of 50-60 pounds in the end.) My nausea has subsided quite a bit. I am still very tired, but overall I am feeling pretty good :)
Will and I talked about how the babies in Mommy's tummy would come live at our house after they are born. He said, "No. The babies can live at Jeri Beth's house." (Jeri Beth is Will's daycare provider.) Later he told me that it was okay with him if the babies live at "Will's house." It always cracks me up when he refers to himself in the third person. He seems to be slowly warming up to the idea of having siblings.
